About the producer
The boutique estate of Platinetti Guido is located in the northern Piedmont region of Ghemme, in the province of Novara on the eastern side of the Sesia River. Here, Andrea Fontana, owner, farmer, and winemaker, has dedicated over 25 years to the craft of winemaking, faithfully upholding the family legacy established by his grandfather at the dawn of the 20th century. With a profound love and connection to his land, Andrea fearlessly tackles challenging vineyard sites across the region, believing they yield exceptional fruit. Cultivating just 8 hectares of vineyards, with Nebbiolo constituting 80% of the production and the remainder comprising a blend of Vespolina and Barbera from Colline Novaresi, Andrea adheres to natural growing and winemaking processes.
